The following list entails what SnippetSentry captures when users are connected via Android:
Message content (sent and received)
Emojis
Stickers and GIFs (separate from emojis)
Audio files (attached to messages)
Voice notes (distinct from attached audio)
Message headers (standard metadata)
Timestamps (Date + Time)
To / From (Sender and Recipient info)
Photos
Videos
Videos sent via Digital Touch (archived like other media; interactive elements not captured)
Documents (PDFs, Word, etc.)
Message ID (unique identifier for each message)
Message reactions
Forwarded message flag (if message was forwarded)
Quoted text (if natively included by the messaging platform)
Parent message reference (for replies in threads)
Message edits (if supported by the platform, original and edited)
Deleted messages (with timestamp of deletion)
RCS (Rich Communication Services messages, Android only)
Partially Captured or Limited Support
Some data elements are captured with context-specific limitations:
Delivery status — Captured only as it pertains to the sending user's device (e.g., sent, failed). We do not track full delivery/read receipts in group threads.
Quoted text — Captured only if the source messaging system includes it as part of the message content
Not Captured
The following data types are not currently captured by SnippetSentry:
Roles of participants (e.g., group admin/member status)
Encryption status
GPS coordinates or shared location data
Group system messages (e.g., “User X left the group” or “User Y added User Z”)
Device type and operating system
IP address of sending/receiving device
Why Some Items Aren’t Captured
Many of the unsupported data points either:
Aren’t exposed via the native messaging platform APIs,
Violate privacy compliance standards,
Or aren't necessary to fulfill legal/regulatory requirements around communication archiving.
